Your Worth Brought Forth - 6/26/20

Good morning brothers and sisters, I hope you all have had a great week and are ready to experience the Lord's presence even more this weekend! Today's message is about our worth being brought forth by the Lord and NOTHING ELSE. A passage that exhibits this worth beautifully is Pslam 139:13-16 ESV, where it reads,

 "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them."

You see God intricately made each of us and we are highly valued in His eyes and in His heart. The world often pulls us to believe that our worth is found in the size of our bank account, the newness of our car, the size of our house, our job title, and the shape, weight, and height of our bodies. This view of life is so warped! But to be completely honest , I too struggle to not find my worth in every single one of these and more, but by the grace of God, He has been really working hard on my heart and mind regarding these things. However, I don't want to say that the things of the Earth don't mean anything, but rather that they are fleeting and superficial. When we put our worth in Jesus Christ we learn quite quickly that we can really lean into Him and find worth that is permanent and requires no Earthly resources to maintain it; just our love and devotion to Him. So, today I encourage you to reanalyze and potentially reorient where you find your worth, and I'm hoping and praying it's in Jesus Christ. Have a blessed day and weekend! 🙂
