A Time of Preparation - 2/15/2021

Hey Family, preparation has been on my mind for the last few days, and although there are many tangible things to prepare for, I believe that it is important to take time for adequate spiritual preparation for the things to come. Let's go to the Father.

Today's Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, today I want to say thank you for Your prompting of the Spirit to recognize that preparation is not solely bound to the brick and mortar of this life, but it in fact has a larger portion to do with growing our faith, residing in the spirit, as well recognizing and putting on the Armor God. Help us, Lord, by reshaping our minds and our efforts to adequately prepare for the great and many things to come."

A Well-Prepared Mind

"Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."

Preparing while there is Time

"Jesus answered, "It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

Preparation through Protection

"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.
