Being A Good Steward

Hey family, today the Lord put on my heart to express of how much God desires for us to be faithful to Him and faithful to others. A few ways out of many are to give our tithe and offering to the Church, giving to the poor, and taking in the orphaned, widowed, and oppressed. These actions are for forging a healthy practice of good stewardship of the money and resources given to us by our Heavenly Father, and to show our faithfulness to God and His Kingdom. 

Today's Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, I know that there are many people that won't hear this message in the way that I have intended and will quickly build up their walls of defense in response. But I pray that You would soften their hearts, open eyes and ears and show them that You are worth far more than our Earthly riches and treasure. Help us see the value in giving back to You what was and is rightful Yours and that You bless those who joyful do so. In this I humbly pray, Amen."

Bring It All to the Lord

Malachi 3:6‭-‬12

"For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. But you say, 'How shall we return?' Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, 'How have we robbed you?' In your tithes and contributions. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts."

We Must Be People of Action

James 1:22‭-‬27

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
