Looks Can Be Deceiving

Hey Family, today I encourage you to put your thinking caps on and ponder this statement and question. "If I took away the Christian music and I took away the Christian schooling and I took away the big church building that you could show to everyone to 'prove' that you follow God and yes, that includes your small group. How would people know that you, as an individual, who loves the Lord deeply and are seeking Him diligently?"

Today's Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, there many ways in which we, as humans, can be fooled by lip service and outward appearances, but you look at the heart. And you said that out of the mouth spills the contents of the heart and that a good tree bears good fruit and bad tree bears bad fruit. So, please help us to show the world our genuine allegiance to You through deep and intense love for You and others. And helps us to bear good fruit that can not be simply explained away by mere human logic. Lord, You are good God who cares about our Earthly works in service to the Kingdom, but at the end of the day You desire our hearts more than anything! In Jesus Christ's beautiful name, we pray, Amen."

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits."
