Loving By Doing
Hey Family, our words, our promises, and our explanations of how to do things in many circumstances can mean quite a big deal to a lot of people, HOWEVER to show your commitment, to bring things to fruition, and to fulfill your promises we all know that we must DO. We must TAKE ACTION. We must be willing to take on AND follow through on the vows and statements that we have made with our God-given mouths. We CANNOT forget that our actions will ALWAYS speak louder than our words.

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You today for another opportunity to love others by following through on our word or even doing more than what we originally committed to. Father, when Your Son died on that Cross for us He showed us the epitome of love by doing more than we ever thought One would do on our sinful behalf. Jesus set the standard of loving by His actions and to become more Christ-like we ought to follow suit. Lord, we give you this day. We give you our mouths to be your mouthpiece to speak love over our neighbors. And we surrender our hands to do the love in which You have called of us . In Christ Jesus name we pray, Amen."

Scripture
Love in Action
Luke 10:25‭-‬37
"On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

Quote of the Day
"Love is a choice to reach beyond myself not once, but twice. First, I reach out to God to grant me the love that I don’t possess, and then I reach out to others to give them that love. And to be a conduit of this sort is to take love beyond the thin romantic notions of men and set it ablaze within me so that it might consume the world around me."
