Make Christ's Joy and Peace Be Known - 2/24/22

Make Christ's Joy and Peace Be Known
Hey Family, I'll be honest with you, yesterday had some pretty rough moments, BUT luckily I was in the proper headspace and I called on the Lord for His all-surpassing joy and peace. This step that I took was good, but the next step that I took was absolutely crucial. That step was to actually put on said joy and put on said peace, and then show it off and live it out in the world, so that others can also experience it.

Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, you have told us in Your Word to not store up our blessings, but to be ready and willing to share them. This call is not exclusive to tangible resources, but also spiritual ones. In this world that we live in it can be difficult to not simply condense our joy and our peace to a well-worded social media post, but Lord have called us to be pressed down and brimming over with love and blessings You provide. Please Father, do not let us fall well below this. mark. In Christ Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Scripture
A Messenger of Joy and Peace
Isaiah 55:6‭-‬13
"Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lord’s renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever.”

Quote of the Day
"As Christians, we ought to talk about the Gospel and Christ's joy and His peace in our lives, just as much and as eagerly as we do when talking about our next vacation or even an exciting work." project."
- Alvy Butler, Jr

Have a blessed day! 🙂
