Relationships Take Work - 3/1/22

Relationships Take Work
Hey Family, I know that the title of today's message may sound like a 'well, duh' type of statement, and it is. However, understanding it and transforming that understanding into action is a completely different story. Let us be people of action and put in the work necessary to improve our relationships.

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, You have called us to love one another with the love of Jesus Christ. And despite the different nuances within how we do that in each relationship, the standard that Jesus sets for our love for one another will always stretch and even regularly make us uncomfortable. So, Lord, show us and help us to boldly go against the current of culture and even moreso against our human nature to love those that are difficult to love. In Christ Jesus name we pray, Amen."

 Scripture
Beyond the Status Quo
Matthew 5:43‭-‬48
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

Quote of the Day
