The God of Justice - 5/26/22

The God of Justice
Hey Family, last night my wife and I took time to pray for those who are in anguish from the elementary school massacre that happened in Texas the other day. To start, there are no words that anyone can say that quench the sadness, pain, and trauma that those children's and teachers' families are facing. But I will say that our God is the God of Justice and He always gets the last word and will avenge His people, if not in this life, then in the next.

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, You and I know that human words can only do so much, but Your healing hand, Your perfect peace, and comfort, and promised judgment and justice of all people gives us the glimmer of hope that we need to press on. Help us to seek out what You desire as justice in this life and give us the humility to lay down our pride and trust the Righteous One to be our righteous judge. To the God who knows the human heart and is set to exercise perfect judgment in His perfect timing, Amen."

Scripture
There Will Be Judgement for All
Ecclesiastes 3:16‭-‬17
"And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment—wickedness was there, in the place of justice—wickedness was there. I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.”

The Wicked Will Be No More
Psalms 37:7‭-‬11
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity."

He is Mighty to Save
Psalms 34:17‭-‬19
"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;"

Quote of the Day
"God’s justice is higher than merely punishing someone who has committed an injustice—He desires to restore everything that was lost."
