Content With Your Lot
Hey Family, today after some prayer and quiet time, the Lord set on my heart the spirit of contentment. We live in a society that literally praises never being content. Preaching that more things will make you look and feel better. This my friend, is a lie from the Enemy. And I'm not saying having nice things and doing nice things are bad, it's the sentiment of if you let those things control your life. When we let Christ fully into our hearts He gives us the ability to find the balance, the peace, the strength and courage, and wisdom and experience beyond our years that we need to ward off the lies of this world that say you can never be content with less or the absolute best.

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, You have promised us an abundance in the life to come, Lord, but there are many who have set in their minds that they must have their abundance now. Some even take it a step further and hoard it for themselves. Lord, I know that this heart posture will often bring joy and peace, but unfortunately, it is a joy and peace that is fleeting and comes at a great cost in the end. Please help us, Lord, to not be distracted by the guided facade that is flaunted in front of our faces daily and help us to fix our eyes on You. In Jesus Christ's beautiful name we pray, Amen."

Scripture
Focused on the Father, Not the Fleeting
1 Timothy 6:17‭-‬21
"As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge,” for by professing it some have swerved from the faith. Grace be with you."

Hebrews 13:5‭-‬6
"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

Quote of the Day
"Many people lose the small joys in the hope for the big happiness."
