Accountability in the Kingdom - 11/29/22

Accountability in the Kingdom
Hey Family, today I want to talk about how accountability in the Kingdom of God can literally save your life. However, I must say, accountability only has the life-saving, addiction-curbing, relationship-building qualities that it should when we are open and honest in our communication with one another. We have to shed our pride for humility. We have to shed our darkness for Christ's light. We must bear our crosses daily and publicly and be willing to share with those who have promised to walk with us in the path to righteousness.

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, today I desire to walk closer with You and the body of Christ than I did yesterday and increase each day that follows. Lord, You have promised that You would always be with us through every stage of life and the only reason that You would give us more than we can handle is so that we might trust and lean into You more each day. You have also blessed Your children with a body to abide in for support, encouragement, and of course, accountability. Thank You, Lord, for Your immeasurable blessings! Help us to always be filled with gratitude for all You have graciously provided for on a daily basis. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing be in Your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, Amen."

Scripture
We Must Unite in Prayer
James 5:13‭-‬20
"Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins."

Build Yourselves Up In Faith
Jude 1:17‭-‬25
"But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen."

Quote of the Day
"The concept of the best possible version of me is not merely an intention, it is an action. It is the daily practice of taking full responsibility for my thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and actions."

Have a blessed day! 🙂
