Grace Upon Grace - 11/1/22

Grace Upon Grace
Hey Family, today is the first day of a new month and I already need all the grace that God is willing to give to me, which is more than I could ever imagine. In this life, we do and say things to others that, in hindsight, we realize we shouldn't have and instead of getting defensive we ought to put on our big boy and big girl pants and just admit that we were wrong and apologize.

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your grace, Your mercy, Your patience, and Your forgiveness. Without the gift of those things from You, we wouldn't have an example to abide by in our minor and major conflicts in life. Thank You for leading by example and showing us the path that we ought to take day by day. Help us to heed and abide by these gifts and teachings each day. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to You Lord, My Rock and My Redeemer, Amen."

Scripture
Forgiveness
Ephesians 4:29‭-‬32
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what helps build others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

Reconciliation
Matthew 5:23‭-‬25
“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison."

Quote of the Day
"Yes, a person can accept your apology and forgive you for what you’ve said, but they will never forget how you made them feel at that very moment. Words can stick in a person’s mind, heart, and spirit long after the words have been spoken. Don’t be in denial; words have GREAT power. Be wise when you speak!"

Have a blessed day! 🙂
