Fork in the Road - 1/3/23

Fork in the Road
Hey Family, it's the first week of 2023, and each year, about this time, is always when people contemplate whether or not they will continue life as they always have or with the help of God's wisdom, direction, grace and strength take on a new path and/or new perspectives. I am a firm believer that ANYONE can "pivot" in this life, whether it's in their heart posture towards Christ, their health status, or their career. However, as the body of Christ, we have been called to submit our desire to "pivot" in life at the feet of Jesus Christ, and if His plan for our lives includes what we desire that's when we make our move. Being in step with God, who sees the full picture, is always more rewarding than pursuing our goals on our own, seeing only a sliver of what is to come.

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, You know my heart, You know the heart of my son and the heart of my unborn daughter. You know each one of Your children's ways, hearts, and minds. Because You know us SO WELL, You love us SO WELL. Therefore, Lord, today I ask that as Your children, who are equipped with Your love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge, You would help us to trust Your voice to lead us on the path that You desire for us to go. This is NOT an easy task. with so many voices in our lives shouting the complete opposite of what You are saying, no matter how logical it may sound, it just may not be what You have called of us to do. Lord, please give us a discerning ear and heart to cut through the noise and solely focus on You in this hour, this day, this month and this year. May the words of mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock, and Redeemer, Amen."

Scripture
A Fulfilled Life Through God's Wisdom and Direction
Proverbs 3:1‭-‬23
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the watery depths were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew. My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble."

Quote of the Day
"Everyday, we have to ask God for our assignment, we must not assume we understand His plan but rather surrender to His will daily."
- E'yen A. Gardner

Have a blessed day! 🙂
