Recalibration for the Relationship - 3/8/23

Recalibration for the Relationship
Hey Family, we all know that nothing in this life remains stagnant. Things get older and break down. People develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Especially as Christians, we have to act with wisdom, discretion, grace, and love and meet EACH person where they are at. We have to strive with everything in us and of God, to not impose our preconceived notions, prejudice, and personal standard on everyone else. We HAVE to recalibrate for Christ's Kingdom to come to Earth as it is in Heaven and for those in darkness to come to the light and foster reconciliation.

Scripture
Colossians 3:13‭-‬17
"Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Ephesians 4:2‭-‬6
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

Colossians 4:5‭-‬6
"Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."

Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, You have blessed us with the most precious gift of being able to communicate directly with You whenever we like. You have shown us the blessings and complexities that come from having an intimate relationship with You and others. So, please help us to respond to each person and situation with abundant grace, humility, faith, and above all else, love for the sake of the Your Kingdom. For they will know we are Christians not by our strength or our intelligence, but by our love. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer, Amen.

Quote of the Day
The church is not a theological classroom. It is a conversion, confession, repentance, reconciliation, forgiveness, and sanctification center, where flawed people place their faith in Christ, gathers to know and love him better, and learn to love others as he designed.
- Paul David Tripp

Have a blessed day! 🙂
