A Proclamation of Good Things - 7/28/23

A Proclamation of Good Things
Hey Family, today I want to take a moment to acknowledge that God is doing a mighty work in our lives and despite life's blaring problems and trials we can and should fully rejoice in the good and great things that the God of All Creation is doing right where you are now!

Scripture
He Creates Good Things For Us
Luke 1:46-55
"And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”

He Creates Good Things Through Us
Ephesians 2:4‭-‬10
"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Today's Prayer
"Heavenly Father, we bless Your Holy name today as You have done great things for us and even moreso, that You have created us with the primary purpose of doing good and great things through us! What a blessing it is to know that You our Creator have blessed in such a way to be an immense blessing to others when we steward what has been planted within us. So, Lord, let us humble ourselves in service of You and our brothers and sisters in Christ, so that we may produce the best possible fruit. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to You, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer, Amen."

Quote of the Day
" We don’t have the capacity to exaggerate God’s goodness. We can distort it, or even misrepresent it, but we can never exaggerate it."
- Bill Johnson

Have a blessed day! 🙂
