Let It Be Evident To All

Hey Family, over the last month there have been a handful of hard spots from stepping into new responsibilities at work, kids not sleeping, and the family being sick, to name a few. But something that I have held near to my heart is the need and desire to be compassionate in every interaction. This world and the people in it can cause our blood to boil, but as Christians, we must strive to buck the status quo and be peacekeepers and love-bringers for then, and only then will God's glory and presence be made evident.

Scripture
‭‭Philippians 4:4-9 NIV‬‬
"[4] Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! [5] Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. [6] Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [7] And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. [8] Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. [9] Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."

Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly, You know my heart and my mind and every thought and emotion that flows through them. You know what makes me tick and what gets my ticking out of sync. You give me grace, compassion, and kindness when the world gives a scolding and overall disapproval. Lord, remind me daily that You made everyone different for Your perfect purpose and it's our job as Christ-followers to live and love like Jesus and be His hands and feet for all that we encounter. I this fully and wholeheartedly in Christ Jesus' beautiful name, Amen.
