Speak for Instruction, rather than Presentation - 5/6/20

Today, the Lord put on my spirit to continue reading through 1 Corinthians, where Paul lays out in detail the importantance of proper explanation of the things we speak to those around, especially within the Church. Without correct explaination it leaves people at ground zero in terms of gaining understanding of the things that we bring to the table concerning the Lord and His promises. And worse yet, many people take up their own understanding of what they have heard and potentially twist the words of Lord, which results in the destruction of other people's view of Christianity and faith in the Lord. For it says in 1 Corinthians 14:6, "Now brothers and sisters, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instructions?" You see, all people, including myself, need proper interpretation and explaination of the words of God. Just hearing an eloquent sermon or being at an awe-inspiring conference simply won't cut it. We have to learn and know the word of God for ourselves in our hearts and then teach it in such a manner to those around us that they might receive the same understanding. Have a blessed day! 🙂
