Adequately Prepared - 7/24/20
Happy Friday Family! I hope and pray that the Lord has been revealing His promises of protection, provision, and peace to you throughout this week. Today, I want to talk to you about the topic of being adequately prepared. This week I have been studying quite diligently for a test that I had to take today actually and through the grace of God, I passed! In doing this, it got me thinking about how much people value, or under value, the importance of preparation for the vast amount of endeavors that we stumble across and the ones we plan for. I think we can all recall times in our lives that we have prepared quite well, as well as times where we have not. Some verses that speak directly to this topic read as follows:
Put your outdoor work in order and get your fields ready; after that, build your house.
Proverbs 24:27 NIV
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:13 ESV
You see family, there are some things in life that we can just show up for and hope for the best. And there are some core things in our lives, such as our faith and our daily walk with the Lord that require the utmost and contious preparation in order that we might be seen as and proven to be adequately prepared in the eyes of the Lord. With this I encourage you, brothers and sisters, to prepare your faith for the coming days, that you might be willing and able to stand firm in the faith of Jesus Christ. This life and the next one is worth your time to prepare for. Have a blessed day! 🙂
