The Great Hunt - 1/9/2021

The Great Hunt
Hey Family, this year has already been quite the journey. And with that journey we have already seen several ups and downs. But, instead of being solely focused on the world's ups and downs, we must too focus on the Kingdom work. I believe that 2020 has left us with an even greater need than we have before of a great hunt for the lost souls that need acquisitioned into the Kingdom of God. But for a work like this we will need a deep connection to the Father, so let's begin with that now.

TODAY'S PRAYER
"Dear Heavenly Father, today I come to You with a torn heart. One side of it aches for our world and it's sinful nature and bad fruit, but the other half sees Your redemptive work in play and how You plan to use Your Church to heal our land. Lord, when it comes to finding Your children I know you already know what to do and what to say, but as Your children we need Your guidance. We need You to work in us and through us to bring in the harvest. We need You to find and bring back Your lost sons and daughters. You, Lord, are the great leader of our hunt and the captain of the ship. We humbly and joyfully move aside as your work begins. In Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen."

SCRIPTURE
Luke 15:1‭-‬10 NIV
The Lost Shall Be Found and Rejoice
"Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Quote of the Day
"The complexities of life can never be untangled by man; like a sheep without a shepherd we have been self-programmed for destruction. Jesus Christ is the only way."
- Felix Wantang
Have a blessed day! 🙂
