Not My Body - 3/4/21

Hey family, today I want to remind you that your body is not your own. It was God-given, therefore it is God-owned. As believers we must act accordingly since we are currently operating on borrowed time, in a borrowed body.

Today's Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you today in utter humility and ask for forgiveness as we are in a culture and generation that takes pride in 'their' bodies, indulges in their lust, and seeks for themselves, often, only personal gain. You said in Your word that we were bought at a price. That price was Christ's precious blood, therefore we must live in a way that will glorify the Father. We ask that you might guide us in this way each and every step. In Jesus Christ's beautiful name we pray, Amen."

1 Corinthians 6:12‭-‬20 NIV

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.
