A New Home

Hey Family, today is Jackie and I's third day in our new home and it has been wonderful and relaxing but this morning as I meditate on scripture and reflect on what home for the body of believers truly is, I recognize that it is fleeting. God desires for us to find our place of belonging or our "home" fully in Him. So, will you bless the Lord today by allowing Him to be your home, rather than the destructible, brick and mortar us humans often cling to? 

Today's Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the way that You provide through the means of man-made structures and concepts, but let us not forget that they are merely a vessel by which You have the opportunity to work through. To delve deeper, Lord, please help us to recognize and allow You to use us as vessels for Your mighty works and to glorify You with our bodies. You are such a good God, and we thank You for working in and through all things! In Jesus Christ's beautiful name we pray, Amen."

2 Chronicles 7:11-16

"When Solomon had finished the temple of the Lord and the royal palace, and had succeeded in carrying out all he had in mind to do in the temple of the Lord and in his own palace, the Lord appeared to him at night and said: “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices. “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever.
