Spiritual Understanding - 4/15/21

Hey Family, today, as I woke the Lord highlighted the topic of spiritual understanding as I made way through 1 Corinthians 2. One thing that ought to be said, is that I am not a biblical theologian. But I am a man who responds to the Lord's promptings and usually knows when He is speaking to me. Some of you May understand and others of you may think I am a fool, but you should know that I am 100% willing and ready to be a fool for Jesus Christ. 

Today's Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, today I am so grateful that You have given me the faith and discernment to follow Your promptings both in deed and speech. This life is filled with so many voices that don't matter, except for Yours. Please help us to know when it is You, the world,  or our own own sinful desires speaking. We only wish to bring You glory honor and praise and in modeling and seeking after You daily, we can and will do such things! In Jesus Christ's beautiful name we pray, Amen."

Discernment of the Spirit

1 Corinthians 2:10-16

"these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.  The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ."

The Holy Spirit Intercedes

Romans 8:26-30

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified."
