The Lord Sets the Scales - 7/28/21

The Lord Sets the Scales

Hey Family, today as I was going through my morning the Lord reminded me that it is He who sets the scales of our lives. He controls whether or not we receive abundance and our opportunities to give abundantly. He marks each one of our starting points in life; whether we are poor or rich, who our parents are, our geographical location at birth, and so much more. We have no power or say in the matter, but we do have a say in how we will live our lives afterwards and the attitudes we carry in the process. So, I encourage you today to live your life for the glory of the Risen King AND do it with unexplainable joy!

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You today for how You have written my life up to this point and beyond. And I have the ability to have such profound confidence in saying this because I know without a doubt that You are faithful to your children who strive to pursue You in righteousness. Lord, You have not made anyone's life perfect, but You promised joy for those who abide in You. So, please help us today by giving us the joy and peace that we need today to be content with the life you have given us. In Jesus Christ's beautiful name we pray, Amen."

Scripture
It's All God's Choice
1 Samuel 2:1‭-‬11 NIV
Then Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the Lord; in the Lord my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance. “There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. “Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed. “The bows of the warriors are broken, but those who stumbled are armed with strength. Those who were full hire themselves out for food, but those who were hungry are hungry no more. She who was barren has borne seven children, but she who has had many sons pines away. “The Lord brings death and makes alive; he brings down to the grave and raises up. The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. “For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them he has set the world. He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness. “It is not by strength that one prevails; those who oppose the Lord will be broken. The Most High will thunder from heaven; the Lord will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.” Then Elkanah went home to Ramah, but the boy ministered before the Lord under Eli the priest."

Quote of the Day
" When the Lord makes it clear you're to follow Him in this new direction, focus fully on Him and refuse to be distracted by comparisons with others."
- Swindoll Charles R.

Have a blessed day! 🙂
