Strength and Peace that God Provides
Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, today some of us are not in the headspace, heart posture, or physical state that we should be or once were. These facts take a toll and weigh us down, but being the great and good God that You are You give us everything that we need to be exactly where You desire. The unknown can be scary and the first steps can seem impossible, however You are Jehovah Jireh which means You provide for us in all circumstances. So, be with us today and help us to recognize that You are our One true source for all things good. In the beautiful name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen."
Scripture
From God We Receive
1 Peter 4:7-11
"The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."
God = My Strength
Exodus 15:2-6
“The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is his name. Pharaoh’s chariots and his army he has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh’s officers are drowned in the Red Sea. The deep waters have covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone. Your right hand, Lord, was majestic in power. Your right hand, Lord, shattered the enemy.
Quote of the Day
"The only way you're going to reach places you've never gone is if you trust God's direction to do things you've never done."
