Lead From Your Knees - 4/5/22

Lead From Your Knees
Hey Family, these past few days I have been pondering what it means to be a leader and what does that look like. Some would say to be a leader is to wield your power and influence with boldness, others might say be strong but silent, and then even others might say lead by lavishing people with support and advocacy. All those things have their place, but most of all, I believe God calls us to lead others in a genuine posture of prayer and humility."

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, as I and many others, take up or continue in the role as leader I pray that You would give us the wisdom, grace, knowledge and humility to lead from our knees in prayer. Please help this heart posture be one of a servant-leader that puts others before themselves in thought and in deed. And as a result, less and less people would be pushed to the margins and more and more would be brought closer to You. In Jesus Christ's beautiful name we pray, Amen."

Scripture
Jesus is the Lead Servant
Matthew 20:25‭-‬28
Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
