Unsurrendered Vices

Hey Family, today I want you to know and ponder the fact that unchecked, unsurrendered, left to fester vices can wreck your life, if not your life, then your relationships, and if not your relationships, your mind, and soul. You see the vices we hide or try to ignore, such as pride, addiction of ANY kind, hatred toward others, lying, self-neglect, and so much more, will kill us one way or another. HOWEVER, in the Kingdom of God sin, shame, and death don't get the last word, because with Jesus Christ there is grace to bring life in the full, unconditional love, and true freedom from our chains. 

Today's Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that today You give us the clarity and courage to lay down anything that is not of You at Your feet in exchange for leading a life that will glorify You and Your Kingdom. Help us to see the deep lasting benefits of living a surrendered life, rather than getting hung up on the minor sacrifices at the moment. We love You, Lord, because You first loved us by dying on the Cross for our sins, so that we could have a life worth living. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer, Amen."

James 1:12‭-‬18

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created."
