Humble Yourself or Be Humbled - 8/7/20

Hello Family, Happy Friday y'all, we made it through another work week, praise the Lord!! Today, I want to talk to you about humility and the significance it holds in the eyes of God. In addition to that I also will touch ok n the consequences of refraining from humility and seeking pride.

Today's Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, today we come to you in praise and exaltation for how good You are to us and also just how great You are in general. In our humaness, we recognize that many times it can be our inclination to seek pride instead of humility, but in removing pride we open ourselves up to receive the greatest of Your blessings and mercies. Forgive us in this day, wash us anew, that we might humble ourselves so You won't have to do it for us. In Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen."

So, back to it, in continuation of the story of Daniel, Daniel calls out Belshazzar, King Nebuchadnezzar's son, on the fact that He had not humbled himself before the Lord as his father did. Because of this, the Lord struck Belshazzar down and stripped him of his throne. Moral of this story when God gives you the opportunity to humble yourself, just do before He takes it into His own hands. I encourage you today to lead a life of humility in the Lord. Have a blessed day! 🙂

"When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom."
Proverbs 11:2 ESV
"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."
Proverbs 16:18 ESV
