Redirection is His Specialty - 8/19/20

Hello Family, today I read through the book of Jonah and I got to tell you it was a little weird, because I'm not sure if I have ever heard or read the entire book of Jonah or if I have just heard the synopsis of it so frequently growing up that I figured I did... Either way, the Lord moved in my spirit regardless and the following is what He asked me to say, "Stop running out of fear and angst; your redirection is coming at its appropriate time."

Today's Prayer:
"Dear Lord, today we come to you in humility and with apologies on our hearts for all the times that we fought against Your Divine redirection. We recognize and praise You in the faith that You were only doing it for our own good and the benefit of others. Lord, help us to have an attentive ear to Your soft whispers of redirection and a submissive heart that is willing to change despite our Earthly desires and fear of the unknown. We love You and praise in Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen."

If you know anything about Jonah's story and how human's typical respond when fear takes over, then this might resonate with you. Some of you during this pandemic have been receiving tugs on your spirit that have caused you to feel that Lord wants you to go in a different direction. Potentially, in the complete opposite of the direction the world, your friends and family, and yes, even you ever thought you could see I yourself doing, just like Jonah. BUT for some reason, deep down, a small part of you knows it's what you ought to be doing. Jonah, unfortunately, learned all of this the hard way by physically running in the opposite direction that the Lord told Him to, and He ended up in the belly of a whale. That being said, do you want to be uncooperative as Jonah was or do you want to prosper in your new Divine appointment from the get go? The choice is yours... Have a blessed day! 🙂

Jonah 1:1‭-‬4‭, ‬15‭-‬17 NIV
1The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: 2“Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” 3 But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord. 4 Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up... 15 Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm.16 At this the men greatly feared the Lord , and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows to him. 17 Now the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
