Starting From Scratch - 8/26/20

Hello Family, today I want to talk about breaking our lives and ideas about said life  down to the bare bones. Getting a clean slate, and starting from scratch. Due to our unfortunate, current events with the injustice towards Jacob Blake and his family, it's that time again to have another uncomfortable conversation.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

"Dear Heavenly Father, today we are coming to you broken hearted about yet another lost life to injustice in the walls of America. We are angry, tired, fedup, and are desperately clawing at the door of lasting change. Just like You did so many times throughout the Bible, Lord, we ask that You strip down our hearts and our minds to the bare bones inorder that You might rebuild us up in accordance to Your will. We need You more than ever, Lord. In Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen."

Today, I want to know something, I know there is a lot of talk about America needing change regarding race and equality, but are you willing to have the Lord wipe clean your ideas about how things "should be done" and rebuild from the ground up a life lived His way in His image? He demands for unparalleled love, grace, peace, sacrifice, justice, and humility to break down what we know as "normal" inorder to restructure our way of life according to His will. And inorder to do that we (you and I) need to submit to the Lord in every facet of our lives to conduct a complete restructuring of life as we know it. We got to start from somewhere, we might as well start from scratch.

Zechariah 1:1‭-‬6 NIV

In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo:  “The Lord was very angry with your ancestors. Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty. Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the earlier prophets proclaimed: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices.’ But they would not listen or pay attention to me, declares the Lord . Where are your ancestors now? And the prophets, do they live forever? But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your ancestors? “Then they repented and said, ‘The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.’ ”
