Grace - 11/2/20

Grace
So, in 2020, the year of the pandemic, the act and gift of grace is one of the most sought after gifts to be given and received. Grace from our Heavenly Father, both given and received from our neighbors throughout these still mentally and physically taxing times is needed more than ever. Not to mention, due to this pandemic, many of our lives have been affected in deep ways that may be unknown by those closest to us. That being said, let's bring this issue of grace to the Father in prayer.

TODAY'S PRAYER
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You upon our knees filled with joy, praise, and humility for the grace that You so freely gave as Your only son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for each one of ours sins, giving each of us the opportunity to have eternal life with You and freedom from our sins. Lord, because You are the one and only true source of grace in this life, please show us day to day how grace should look in each opportunity that arises. Show us that there is no numerical amount for that sums up just how much grace we should give to each situation or person. Rather, help us to be an ever-flowing fountain of grace, love, and peace. In Jesus Christ name we pray, AMEN!"

SCRIPTURE
Given from the Beginning
2 Timothy 1:9‭-‬10 NIV
"He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. "

Sufficient for all Our Needs
2 Corinthians 12:9‭-‬10 NIV
"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Should Be Received with Confidence
Hebrews 4:14‭-‬16 NIV
"Therefore , since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. "

THE MESSAGE

And as grace is received in such abundance, as the body of Christ, we ought to give grace in a ever flowing adundance to every person and situation we encounter as well. Subscribe to a grace filled life and see how the Lord will work in and through you today! Have a blessed day! 🙂
