Is Jesus In Your Heart?

SCRIPTURE 

Ephesians 3:14‭-‬21

"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

Family, I'm learning more and more each day that it is simply not enough to know about Jesus Christ or to know His teachings or even just to advocate for His will and tell others about His goodness and love. All of those pieces are absolutely necessary in the body of Christ and the advancement of the Kingdom of God, BUT to receive the fullness of Christ and to express to the world the fullness of Christ we have to FIRST invite Jesus into our hearts to do His redeeming, grace-filled work!

TODAY'S PRAYER

Jesus, we bless Your Holy name today for all that You have done, all that You will do, and all that won't do! You made it clear that You would never leave us or forsake us, nor will you barge in and take over our minds and heart. Rather, You will only come into our hearts and start changing things for our good and Your glory when it is requested. So, Father, give us eyes to see the full riches that You have to offer each of Your children that we might let You in to do Your mighty work. In Jesus name we pray, Amen! 

HOW DO I APPLY THIS TODAY?

Simply and genuinely state this, "Jesus, I want to know and love You more. Please come into my heart to do Your redeeming work."
