Picky Eaters - 10/30/20

Picky Eaters
Hey family, it's Friday and boy have we been blessed to make it through another week! God has provided, He has shown us the steps in which we must take and has opened doors that we maybe never even knew were possible, and yet still we have some complaints about the "feast" that the Lord has placed in front us to partake in. In other words, we have some "picky eaters" in our midst.

TODAY'S PRAYER
"Dear gracious and loving Father, thank you for a new day and an end to yet another week. You have blessed and taught us things just in this week that you have never blessed us with or taught us before. Many of us see the level of its value and quality, but some have grown to have cold hearts unable, at the moment, to show genuine appreciation for such gifts. Lord, soften our hearts, and show us that in everything that You given to us there is value and there is purpose. Forgive us for the times we have tossed Your gifts away in our arrogance, and bring about an appreciation that can only come from You. In Jesus Christ name we pray, AMEN!"

SCRIPTURE
The People of Today
2 Timothy 3:1‭-‬5 NIV
"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. "

A Change of Menu Items
Numbers 11:4‭-‬6 NIV
The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, “If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost—also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!”

He Always Provides for His Children
Psalms 65:4‭-‬9 NIV
"Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple. You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength, who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations. The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. "

Quote of the Day
"One day I found myself sitting utterly exhausted and wholly spent from this failed journey to secure everything that I wanted. And when the tears abated and my vision finally cleared, I was astounded to find that I had always been surrounded by everything that I needed. And I have not cried since."
- Craig D. Lounsbrough
