Life Giving Conversation - 5/13/20

Life Giving Conversation:

Today, I was reflecting on a conversation that I had yesterday with an old friend and honestly it was quite a life-giving conversation that took me by surprise. This bout of dialogue got me thinking about true and intimate prayer with the Lord and just how life-giving those conversations with Him can be. One interesting fact that I realized, is that unlike with humans, conversation with the Lord is always going to be life-giving in some way, shape, or form regardless of if we immediately recognize it's benefits. So, even though the conversations that we have with our brothers and sisters in this life can be exhilarating, deep, or informative (in an Earthly manner), let us not forget that the most important conversations that we should be having on a regular basis on the ones with our Heavenly Father.

"14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
