The Long but Rewarding Journey - 5/11/20

The Long but Rewarding Journey:
So, this morning as I was Reading through Romans 8 and I was doing some reflecting on the life that I have lived and the lives that I have been able to observe in the short time that I have been alive. And I remembered a time when I used want to have had a rougher life growing up than I had, that led me down the wrong path so that I might have a "cool and exciting" redemption story from the Lord at the end of it all. But that was not what the Lord wrote down for me in the book of life. You see, we each have our own individual story, experiences, and perspective on those experiences that shapes us into who we become. And though we all experience differing degrees of suffering and wandering in our faith journey we can ALL seek the Lord to show and lead us down the true path that He has paved just for you and I. That path through Him leads to a purpose-filled life overflowing in love, grace, peace, and strength just as Jesus Christ has shown us over and over again. Today, I encourage you to seek Lord in your journey, wherever you see yourself to be and confirm with Him if you are staying true to the path that He has made for you.
Supporting Scripture:
Romans 8:31‭-‬39 NIV
"31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Have a blessed day! 🙂
